About us

SMARTposition’s roots are in the Bata Positioning System, in which we experimented with advanced track & tracing applications as far back as 2002. Since 2008, SMARTposition is part of a joint-venture with the HYS Enterprise Holding. Therefore, we execute software development for large projects together with professional engineers available from within the holding, allowing us to utilize one or more teams depending on the size of the project.

Management team

Hans Uithol (CEO)

Hans has more then 30 years experience in management of software development, ranging from real time systems in the telecom and financial sector up to application software for insurance agents. As part of Bell labs and Lucent Technologies he was responsible for the development, integration and roll-out of systems with cutting-edge technology and high quality standards. He used this knowledge when he was the CIO of the Credit Europe Bank.

Daan Boekestein

Daan Boekestein (Business development)

Daan has received his Bachelor degree from the University of Twente, and now works with SMARTposition full-time. He has also completed a course on Geo-Informatics at the ITC. Daan focuses research, design and implementation of projects.

Paul Uithol

Paul Uithol (CTO)

Paul is SMARTposition’s head of technology and R&D. After obtaining his MSc title at the University of Twente, he has gone to work with SMARTposition full-time as of the beginning of 2008.

Yuri Warczynski (COO)

During the last 9 years, Yuri has provided IT services to clients in the financial, telecom and transportation industries. Yuris management style combines comprehensive study of emerging technologies, the passion to build highly motivated teams, strong personal determination and love for cutting-edge technology.
