De Turfrace, a contest with historical, still sailing freight ships, can be followed live on our live tracking system on September 26 th, 27 th en 28 th.
The Turfrace is held by Stichting Zeilvaart Warmond , which organizes contests and events in which historical, still sailing freight ships participate. These ships were used to transport commodities like flower bulbs, sand and vegetables though the shallow ditches of the Westland and the Bollenstreek.
